7-26: Long drives and contemplation

Yesterday I woke up REALLL early and drove to where I am now - Norman, OK. I set up some stuff in my apartment where I'll be living next year. I REALLY like it. It's very roomy and cozy. Nobody else is here, but I will be living with three other guys. It'll be fun - different, but fun.

Anyway, I thought I should update you and tell you musically what's been going on. I haven't done an inspiration notice recently, but I knew I just had to when I heard this album.

Jars of Clay has been missing for awhile now, but this CD (which was my main driving music yesterday...as in I listened to the whole thing twice) is an incredible return. They have always been a band that thought outside the box, but this album takes that to the next level. Some really cool stuff. My favorites are "Closer", "Two Hands" (which is the best-known off the album), "Scenic Route", and "Hero", although the album is really a journey in itself. What I mean is that each song supports the next. Just really great.

So as far as my album goes, I have some VERY exciting news. I have copyrighted everything. Officially. I payed 35 bucks and copyrighted every single song. On top of that, I am in the midst of making a profile for CdBaby which is how I'm going to put my music on Itunes. I'm considering also putting my music on rhapsody and zune. Hmmm...maybe even Amazonmp3. They give you some great options.

But basically, the news is - I'm working and working hard. And everything is sounding just wonderful. I listened to the album all the way through on the drive, and it is flowing just how I want it to. The perfect order. The perfect leveling. Of course, I'll want to tweak things everytime (which I'm doing as I type). But that's the beauty of it. It's my music, and anytime I want to change it, I just go back to the drawing board...until I release it that is. :)

In a few hours I'll be off to Wichita to see my best friend in Miss Saigon. I actually may not go back to sleep - I went to sleep at 6:30pm, and woke up at 3:00...that's enough time, right? Eh. My sleep schedule is so screwed anyway. Haha.

Anyway, that's all for now.
