Sun is addicting. Really. I cannot stop laying out in it. We've had quite a string of beautiful days recently, and I'm really loving it. I may actually go for a swim today...undecided as of now.
Now why, you ask, am I going off on this great band? Well, they are my inspiration for the current song I'm working on - A Day In The Life of a Lover. Mainly the percussion and bass. The drums are very garage-industrial-rock sounding, but it's a very playful simple song about a guy urging this girl he likes to live one day for herself, because they would be perfect together. Aw. Haha. I think you'll like this one. I've just started it, but it's really beginning to sound like the catchy song I want it to be.
You Were Meant For The Skies sounds AWESOME. I LOVE it now. FINALLY.

I want to give a shout-out to Drew Jennings. DREWBA SCUBA.
I also want to congratulate my sister on her one-year anniversary with her boyfriend. Alot of over-the-top cute things are happening at my house because of it. For instance - she just bought him a ring. Over-the-top.

I thought something I might start doing is posting inspirations for my songs. What I mean is that I'll be posting CD's by other artists that are currently getting my brain going and giving me ideas. Does that make sense? For instance, my inspiration today is the brilliant Vampire Weekend, as you can see to the left. I've known about this band for awhile, but I'll be honest, it took me awhile to really LOVE them. But they are THE PERFECT summer band. Don't know how to explain that. They just...sound like summer.
