9-7: So much to say

So much has happened in the time since my last blog. Granted, it's been some 2 weeks, but still...I have auditioned for all the shows, started my sophomore year of college, written some new demos of some new songs (you won't hear them ANY time soon, but still...cool stuff!), gotten pulled over, partied my face off, and also been finishing the album.

The thing that kept me from releasing it (besides cdbaby's confusingness) was The Road to Now. It just didn't sound as "well-mastered" as the others, and it basically came down to the fact that the vocals were recorded on a bad microphone. And while I liked the vocals, the sound of them just were so crappy. So I borrowed Harry's nice mic today, and set up my studio for real in the apartment. And I COMPLETELY redid the song, and I am so glad I did. It sounds SOOOOOO much better and SOOOOO much more clean now. You'll love it!!

As for the cd, I am still not positive when it will be released but I will keep you up to date with it. Possibly a week from Tuesday. Hopefully then...

Also, some opportunities for the album have come up, including three songs being used in an art show in downtown Houston! Pretty awesome! :)

My mom took up the "demo version" of the album to my Dad's side of the family in Cleveland, and I got ALL positive reviews. Of course, they are my family, so they'll say they like anything I do. But still. It's really nice to hear!

I can't wait for you all to hear it. Seriously. It's been a long journey, and I just want people to enjoy it.
